We had a day in the Plitvice Lake area and walked the whole park. It was amazing, just as you turn a corner you think you can’t see anything possibly more beautiful than the last corner, and each time you are proved wrong. This area should be one of the 8th wonders of the world!

Beautiful coastline of Montenegro. This was taken at Strp, between Dubrovnik and Kotor. Fabulous weather, fabulous scenery. We had a wonderful tour guide through Cheap Dubrovnik Tours. For 160 euros, we got a guide, who was full of really interesting information, personalised tour, and as photographers (there were three of us), we could stop anywhere we liked. It was a full day of 10 hours of absolute delight. Well worth it. On that tour, I took over 400 images, which I've managed to whittle down to 167!

The White-faced Heron, Egretta novaehollandiae, also known as the White-fronted Heron, and incorrectly as the Blue Heron, is a common bird throughout most of Australasia, including New Zealand. It is a relatively small heron, pale, slightly bluish-grey, with yellow legs and white facial markings. It can be found almost anywhere near shallow water, fresh or salt, and although it is prompt to depart the scene on long, slow-beating wings if disturbed, it will boldly raid suburban fish ponds.

Photographing a Cygnet up at the Taylor dam in June I caught the young bird diving under the water to grab some food. You can clearly see it’s beak open under the water, and also the water parting away from his feathers. I thought it was quite an interesting sight!
